Dr. Trotter, a native of Greenwood, Mississippi, completed his fellowship training in cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) in Jackson, Mississippi. While there, he also earned his medical degree and completed his residency in internal medicine, during which he served as chief resident and was one of six residents chosen by his peers for the All Star Resident, Carl G. Evers, MD Society. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi.
